Player-Care is owned and operated by me, John Tuttle. I do my utmost to utilize Time in a cost-effective and profitable manner. In order to help achieve that goal, I continue to post new web pages. However, since I do not buy, sell, trade, barter, or list used instruments, I am not a good source for determining the retail or fair-market value of musical instruments. So please don't ask me. Also, I am not an historian per se. Generally, the research I do is confined to technical matters that relate or pertain to the workings of player piano mechanisms. There are numerous other individuals who concern themselves with the history of piano companies, the preservation of music rolls, and the archiving of data related to all types of mechanical musical instruments. Most of the people who have contacted Player-Care realize that I am happy to help those who make some effort to help themselves, and that I will gladly point people in the right direction. However, I make my living providing parts, supplies, and technical materials to the public, and that takes up most of my time. That said, I request that you make some attempt to read through the numerous pages (search page) I have already spent the last twenty years creating BEFORE you write or call me. Check out the Frequently Asked Questions web page first. Most questions are answered somewhere within the 950+ web pages at Player-Care. Please consider the value of my time and Search the Site thoroughly before asking a question. For questions requiring research or technical assistance, use my Consulting Service. However, if I'm not in the middle of some other activity, you can reach me at 732-840-8787. But please understand that during the hours from 8AM-5PM EST (Mon-Sat), I'm generally quite busy. So, I probably won't answer the phone. If you get the answering machine, please leave a detailed message stating the reason for your call. Also, repeat your name and phone number clearly and distinctly. By necessity, I prioritize everything in my life. And, if you call and just leave your name and number, and ask me to call you back, it might be a day or two before I return your call. Why? Because I don't know why you want me to call and I might not be prepared to assist you in an effective and efficient manner. If you leave me an E-Mail address (which I prefer), spell it out phonetically. The more you do to help me, the more I can help you in return. Don't rush.
