I have had my own business under the name of Piano Tuning by RayBould since 1974, primarily in Montreal. We have a full rebuilding shop as well as the field end of the business.
I had been a member of the PTG for quite a few years (Webb Philips being a good friend) and since 1989 I have been an active member of the Master Piano Technicians of America for whom I served as the dean of the Institute of Piano Technology as well as convention chairman for the 1999 MPT convention.
Over the years I have been through the Niles Bryant program in both piano and organ, the American School of Piano Tuning, the Potter program, etc. We regularly do work for McGill University, Concordia University, many churches, as well as local school boards here in Quebec.
I learned the exterior woodworking part of piano refinishing from my father who was a cabinet maker.
